Food To Chew On:
Wednesday – Beyond Admiration to Adoration
John 7:17
"If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from Myself.
The Thought For The Day:
Jesus is not the greatest man who ever lived; He is the ONLY Son of God, our Lord. If we want to know God, we must begin with what He said in His Word and obey what we hear!
Today we are going to talk about portion control …. Please hear we well you can eat all the right foods and exercise like a mad person but if you don’t use portion control then your weight lost will be prolonged.  You can eat unlimited amounts of   veggies and if you are a dibasic you must watch your sugar intake. A helpful hint get smaller dishware and eat slower and you will get full... and we have to listen to your body... stop eating when you are full. You might can drink water 30 minutes before eating. When you are trying to lose weight stay away from “All You Can Eat” restaurants. You  can easily over eat and you will have to be rolled out the door J or your go and wear comfortable clothes because you know you are going to scarf down the food, and what happens after we eat ...we go straight to bed and everything we have eaten goes straight to our hips, stomach  or thighs.
Take Care of You: Move more
1.
Start a morning walking group with neighborhood friends. A group activity provides the motivation and social support. Once you do it, you'll feel great for the rest of the day.

2.
Squeeze in physical activity throughout your day. Walk up and down the sidelines at your kids' soccer games or practice mini-sprints around the playground at the park. Do lunges or squats while you watch your favourite TV show and switch to sit-ups or push-ups during the commercials. Buy a cordless phone so you can stand up and walk around while you're talking. Every bit counts.

3.
Make fitness a family event and play with your kids. Run with a game of tag, skip rope, throw a Frisbee or kick a soccer ball around an obstacle course. Not only does this get the whole family moving, it also affords you important quality family time.

4.
Get active during your vacation. Sometimes family vacations can feel more draining than staying at home. To help you reap the vacay rewards, make a concerted effort to connect with nature. Swim for 20 minutes if you're staying near a lake, bring your bike or inline skates along, too.
A Healthy Meal
Wednesday
Start with one egg scrambled with two egg whites, a whole-wheat English muffin and a glass of orange juice. Although eggs contain cholesterol, most people can enjoy them in moderation on a heart-healthy plan. For lunch, make a tuna salad with 2 oz. of water-packed tuna, celery and light mayonnaise. Eat with cut-up vegetables, a whole-wheat roll and a cup of low-sodium vegetable soup. For dinner, make black bean tacos -- choose no-sodium-added canned beans -- on corn tortillas with chopped tomatoes, shredded lettuce and sliced avocado. Have a handful of unsalted almonds as a snack.
