Food To Chew On:
Friday – “Drop That Stone!!”
John 8:6; John 8:8 (New King James
Version)
But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His
finger, as though He did not hear….And again He stooped down and wrote on the
ground.
Thought For The Day:
Drop That Stone!!!
On the Beautiful Friday, we are getting ready for a wonderful
weekend. Please remember to try to eat healthier and if you plan your meals you
can stay on track.. What I had found out is if you write down what you are eating
and be truthful you can really see how much we really eat…. Wow it will blow your
mind!! J So let’s make up
our mind to move more and to eat less… Have a Wonderful Weekend!! Bryant and

Elderly Balance Exercises For
Seniors to Help Prevent Falls
Balancing exercises are
challenging!
Don't try these senior and elderly balance exercises
alone if you are uncomfortable about these exercises or are unsure of your
ability to complete them.
Start slowly with the first exercise until you become
used to the new experience of stressing your balance system.
It is not a race to the finish. You may be comfortable
only performing the first few balance exercises and not be comfortable doing
the moving and walking exercises. That is ok! Really!
Never do something that you are nervous about by
yourself.
Much better to have a helpful, stable person around to
make you more confident and secure. What else are family members for?
6 Creative Ways to Get Children
Excited about Healthy Eating
5.
Do a cooking competition
If you have multiple children then arrange a week of
cooking competitions where the most healthy meal wins… This is a great way to
not only getting them thinking healthily, but also to get them excited and
encouraged to make things healthy too. Most children love having a friendly
competition against their siblings, but if your child is an only child then
don’t worry you can still do this one! Just have them compete against you
instead! It’s a really fun way of getting them to actively think about what
they’re eating in a fun way.
A Healthy Menu For
Friday
Have a cup of cooked oatmeal topped with 1/2 cup of skim
milk, 2 tbsp. of raisins and 1 tsp. of brown sugar. For lunch, stir 1/4 cup of
salsa into 1 cup of nonfat, plain Greek yogurt. Use as a dip for one serving of
baked tortilla chips, 1 cup carrot sticks and a sliced red pepper. At dinner,
make a mock pizza with a whole-wheat English muffin, 1/4 cup of marinara sauce
and 1 1/2 oz. of part-skim mozzarella cheese. Toss a large green salad on the
side with low-calorie dressing. Snacks for this day are 3 cups of air-popped
popcorn topped with 1 tbsp. of shredded Parmesan cheese and a glass of red wine
or a whole apple.
